A beginner-friendly music class where kids learn ukulele, hand drums, rhythm, singing, and performance skills—taught in a fun, upbeat group setting!
Our Strum & Drum Band is the perfect introduction to music for kids who want to explore instruments, learn real musical skills, and have a blast doing it. Whether your child is brand-new to music or already loves to perform, this class builds confidence, creativity, and teamwork through hands-on music-making each week.
What Kids Experience
In the Strum and Drum Band, kids dive into an exciting mix of music-making that builds confidence, creativity, and teamwork! Each week, students:

What to Expect ...
Our Strum & Drum Band is a high-energy, beginner-friendly music class where kids explore rhythm, melody, and performance in a supportive, upbeat group environment—no musical experience required!

Engaging Weekly Classes -Each session includes hands-on time with ukuleles, hand drums, rhythm instruments, and group singing.

Beginner-Friendly Instruction - We break everything down step-by-step so kids feel confident and excited to learn.

Bring Your Own Ukulele or Rent One from Us - Students will need an ukulele for class. You’re welcome to bring your own or rent one from us for the session.

We Provide Drums, Rhythm Instruments, and Microphones - All percussion instruments and microphones needed for class are provided.

Creative, Supportive Environment - Kids are encouraged to try new things, build confidence, and have fun while learning music.

Final Performance for Families - The session wraps up with a fun and relaxed performance where students share the songs they’ve learned.
Each week is filled with music, movement, and memorable moments — kids leave class smiling and proud of what they’ve accomplished!
There will be a live performance for friends and family the final day of class!

This 10-week class series is billed into three payments of $133.35 via auto-billing, with $133.35 due at registration.
Class tuition includes:

10 classes of group instruction with the last class being a dress rehearsal and performance

End-of-class performance for family and friends
All registrations are final. No refunds will be offered nor processed. Please ensure your commitment to this 10-week class series before completing the registration. If you have any questions please CLICK HERE. Upon completion of the below registration you agree to the future payment of $133.35 on 3/1, and 4/1 for 2026 Spring Sessions. If payment is not made within 5 days of the above dates, a $30 late fee will be added to that payment amount.

Direct billing for Step Up for Students Scholarships is available for this class and can be found in the EMA Marketplace.
We are not accepting insurance for groups at this time.

What Kids Experience
Beachside Music Lessons & Therapy offers an interactive and creative environment for kids to learn and practice acting, singing, and dancing in this 10 week class! Our goal is to introduce kids to the fundamentals of theatre and acting through fun-filled classes, while encouraging: social skills, collaboration, and creativity. The lessons taught go beyond the theatre and will have a positive impact on whatever our young students choose to do in their lives.

Our Small Group Classes ensure your child gets the one-on-one attention they need in addition to the space to work through new skills and songs. It's the perfect combination in learning a new instrument. Music is always more fun when you play it with friends!
Our Small Music Therapy Groups offer students an opportunity to explore music making, learn new skills, increase social skills, speech, gross and fine motor skills, academics, and more. How It Works
Sign-up
Sign-up for our Strum & Drum Band Class and vote for your favorite songs! Our class will meet weekly (50 minutes per week for 10 weeks, including the performance on the final week). Class will be designed to meet the individual needs of those attending each group.
Get Ready for Class
You don't have to do anything to get ready for class! Just show up to our group each week with your ukulele and music and be ready to try your best and have fun! Have additional questions? Contact us here.

Come to class ready to learn and be creative! We'll be busy during class, so please no snacks or drinks (besides water that has a cap).
